Rachis is a  ceramic installation which dissects the body, highlighting its inner workings and interconnectivity. Beneath the skin, we can seek an appreciation for the mystical machinery of humans. Rachis makes reference to anatomical votives which symbolise the ancient and spiritual relationship between the body, mind, and soul.  We celebrate the complexity of our physical as well as spiritual forms. 

By highlighting the intricacies and wonder of the human form, this work petitions for the celebration of a diversity of bodies, and the disintegration of harmful societal standards.
