Starting with the traditional way of making death masks, this series explores materials through ceramic experimentation. The face becomes a 3D canvas for manipulation and replication. In contemporary society it tempting to construct our public identities, to hide behind a mask. These fractured and warped faces challenge this notion, attempting to communicate authentic emotions.
